Registration for 16th Annual Structural Engineering Conference is now open!
What: The conference is designed for professionals in structural engineering to gather in Champaign-Urbana to discuss exciting new developments in the field, gain timely job-related information, network with colleagues, and renew their sense of professional purpose.
When: April 7th, 2015, from 8am to 6pm.
Where: I-Hotel and Conference Center in Champaign, IL.
Registration: Full-time students may attend the conference at no cost and may purchase lunch for $12. Students must pre-register by March 31, 2015.
What: We will be meeting up at Mike n Molly’s this coming Wednesday for the second night of trivia of the semester! Come for some friendly competition and enjoy food/drink in downtown Champaign with members of SEGSO!
When: Wednesday, February 25th. We will be starting at 7:30 pm so be on time!

About: For a research project on the seismic response of stone masonry buildings, the Earthquake Engineering and Structural Dynamics laboratory of EPFL invites applications for a post-doctoral position.
Requirements: Have a PhD Degree related to the seismic response of unreinforced masonry structures. Proficiency in spoken and written English. Experience in numerical or analytical modelling of the out-of-plane response of masonry is an advantage but not mandatory.
The Structural Engineers Foundation (SEF) is currently accepting applications for the upcoming academic year for undergraduate and graduate students studying structural engineering. Applicants will be evaluated based upon scholarship, leadership, and academic involvement . Up to four scholarships will be awarded, each in the amount of $2,000. One of the four scholarships, the Max Zar scholarship, will be awarded to students enrolled in a school in Illinois. We also have a scholarship directed for students of Hispanic descent.
