EERI and SEGSO have organized a visit to re_Home, a house built by the Illinois Solar Decathlon Team.
Why Should I Attend? Come learn about re_Home, a house built by the Illinois Solar Decathlon Team. re_Home was especially designed to allow for rapid construction in post-disaster situations (tornadoes, earthquakes, etc) when rebuilding housing is critical. During our visit, members of the Solar Decathlon Team will tell us more about the structural engineering, sustainability, and rapid construction principles incorporated in the design of re_Home.
When? We will meet on Friday, October 17th, at 3pm in front of Newmark, by Matthews Avenue, from where we will drive to the house. We will need drivers, so bring your car if you have one!
Where is the house? re_Home is located at 3603 South Race Street, Urbana IL
